Nepal to Provide 2.6 Million Jobs Amid COVID-19 Crisis

The COVID-19 recession has presented numerous challenges to every country including Nepal, making it difficult for industries to survive and strive.

Although Nepal has announced measures to ensure essential business activities, it has become challenging for most businesses to keep turning their financial wheels due to nationwide lockdown.

With no respite in sight, the Nepali Irrigation Minister Barshaman Pun has urged the industrialists and businessmen to resume operations while adopting COVID-19 prevention measures.

During a virtual meeting by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), the minister said that the Nepali Government had made sufficient arrangements to revive the industrial sector amid the ongoing crisis.

“Nobody knows how long the pandemic will last and we have to be used to seek livelihood amidst the crisis,” said Barshaman.
