So far, the coronavirus has infected 886 people and claimed four lives in Nepal.
The coronavirus pandemic continues to spread rapidly in Nepal, further threatening the nation’s already inadequate public health infrastructure.
In the last 24 hours, the Nepali Government has recorded 114 new COVID-19 cases, taking the country’s total count to 886. So far, four people have lost their lives due to contagion.
Meanwhile, 28 patients were discharged from various hospitals after a successful recovery. With this, the total recoveries in Nepal reached 183.
New COVID-19 Cases Include:
- 35 cases – Rautahat district
- 17 cases – Jhapa
- 15 cases – Dang
- 15 cases – Surkhet
- 16 cases – Banke
- 6 cases – Baglung
- 11 cases – Saptari
- 8 cases – Bara
- 3 cases – Rukum East
- 2 cases – Siraha
With the sudden rise in coronavirus infections, the Nepali Government has planned to procure adequate medical supplies from various countries.
A Nepal Airline’s (NA) plane is flying to China today to bring 28.66 tons of medical supplies to Nepal.
Earlier, the NA has signed an agreement worth NPR 2.25 billion with the Sinopharm Group to import 341 tons of medical equipment from China.
